Movies without music? Just imagine the movie of Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet's Titanic without Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On. See? LESS INTENSE. The last scene of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty without Jose Gonzalgos's Dream? Another LESS INTENSE. 

As society changes, music has evolved for the past years. (Did you know Flutes were one of the earliest music instrument (BBC News)). With a bunch of new artists, let me share to you who are my favorite artists. Artists that you should be listening to.

THE 1975

This band offer up some very amazing songs. The songs deliver profound messages. Chocolate is probably the best song of the band so far. They're like the new U2 of this generation. And one thing I love about them is that they're 80s inspired. 

ADELE

No need to explain what's already understood. I mean its ADELE! With Grammys, Golden Globe and Oscar under her belt no need for further explanations.

ARCTIC MONKEYS

They're not just a "good band", they're an interesting great band. Since Indie is my thing, AM album is one of the best indie rock album for me in a long while. Because it is hard to discover a unique rock album these days. Arctic Monkeys's AM is an instant classic! I didn't even know that Arctic Monkeys have been making albums for years. 

So. Just. Listen. To. This. Freaking. Amazing. Great. Band.

BIRDY

This indie pop rock artist is one artist you should be listening to. With piano as her main instrument and with a golden voice, she will surely capture you. Birdy got something and she is always great. Her first self-titled album sold million copies worldwide.  Fire Within is her second studio album with first original material. Birdy proves that she is one of the best young artists of his generation.

BRUNO MARS

When Bruno Mars first came out he's already an "artist". Ever since Bruno Mars does no wrong. He got his own trademark vocal and looks. The songs are extremely catchy and with an awesome beats. No doubt they chose him to perform in the Super Bowl Halftime Show 2014. It is now the most-watched halftime show in history, surpassing big stars like Madonna, Beyonce and Aerosmith. 

ED SHEERAN

Ed Sheeran has an impressive talent. His lead single The A Team is one deep meaningful song. Even the music video attracts the audience. Every song in his +(plus) Album is at least solid. I love his Tenerife Sea song in his new album X(multiply).  Shows his rather talented vocal ability. Photography, Shirtsleeves, Even My Dad Does Sometimes and One are one great songs. The lyrics are really good. 

KONGOS

An alternative rock band that is worth listening to. Traveling On, Escape and I Want To Know are three of my favorite songs of the band. The band's Lunatic album is a big break. They successfully crack the international market.  

LORDE

From an unknown 16-year-old from New Zealand to the New Queen of Alternative, she is indeed LORDE. Her voice is powerfully intriguing and distinct. I love the raspiness that she brings out in her voice. Just like Birdy, her songwriting is very expressive. 

SAM SMITH

I've been a fan of Sam Smith since last year. His heavenly, soulful and powerful voice makes him one unique artist. I love every song on his In The Lonely Hour album. Let me just add that he is an Adele male version for me. One thing that's certain as this is just the beginning a bright future for Sam Smith. He is definitely one rising artist to watch.
